We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 12 pm - 4 pm at New Life Community Church in Artesia, California. In addition to helping choose the Best Adobo in Southern California (or entering your own dish in the competition), this outdoor event will feature music, performances, and small business vendors selling Filipino drinks and desserts! And just like our past events, this will be one big Filipino party as we also celebrate Filipino American History Month!

Participating in the Tanggol Migrante Movement to:
Supporting migrant and immigrant families whose loved ones are in detention with various services, leadership training, and social support
Organize a group of labor trafficking survivors in Lancaster which ultimately led to the shutdown of the agency in the Philippines who trafficked them
Having 15 high school and college students complete our summer youth program focused on social justice, leadership development, and empowerment
Being part of the Justice for Filipino Caregivers campaign and the California Domestic Workers Coalition to conduct outreach, education, and ongoing leadership development
Serving 100 families each month through our monthly food distribution in Long Beach
Assisting low-income Filipino workers by providing crucial services and support, including filing over $250,000 in wage claims with the Labor Commissioner's Office
Advocacy for a variety of initiatives at the city, county, and state level:
Citywide funding for legal services for immigrants through the Long Beach Justice Fund Coalition
Fighting for housing protections and other key programs for immigrant and working class communities in LA County through the Immigrants Are (IRLA) LA Coalition
Statewide advocacy that secured $30 million in renewed funding for the Stop the Hate program
Joined the California Coalition for Worker Power in Sacramento to advocate for and win $30 million in statewide funding to invest more resources in worker outreach programs
