off successful acting roles in Colorado, Carey Westbrook packed up and
moved to L.A. to give show business a try. Tinseltown wasn’t so kind to
its newest hopeful, however. He had to put those dreams on hold and
find a job as a security guard. To make ends meet, Carey took both
overnight and day shifts, which left no time for sleep. When he had
trouble staying awake at work he was let go. With food stamps as his
only income, Carey quickly found himself homeless.
