Asian Pacific Community Fund - Verizon Scholarship Awards Program


The Asian Pacific Community Fund partners with Verizon to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. These awards will support those who excel academically, are leaders amongst their peers and are making a positive impact in their communities.

2nd Cycle Eligibility:
  • Students who are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students attending college in one of those states
  • High School Senior who plan to enroll as a 1st year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a science in the Fall of 2014
  • Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0

Deadline for the 2nd Cycle is January 31, 2014 at Midnight

All scholarships applications and recommendations must be completed ONLINE. Mailed or faxed hard copies of applications and recommendations will NOT be accepted. Transcripts may be submitted via upload, email, fax, or mail.

All materials must be in RECEIVED by midnight on January 31, 2014. Anything received (whether mailed, emailed, or faxed) past that date and time will NOT be considered, regardless of the postmark.

Do not mail additional materials, such as resumes, certificates, or newspaper clippings, unless requested. They will not be reviewed.

You will be notified no later than April 30, 2014 regarding the status of your application. The scholarship award can only be used to cover the cost of attending an accredited 4-year college/university. This may include tuition, fees, books, supplies, living expenses and meals. What is included in the cost of attendance varies by institution.
