The Asian Pacific Community Fund offers major donors the option of setting up a Donor Advised Fund through which to make charitable contributions directly to our member agencies or other reputable 501(c)(3) not for profit organizations.

The Donor Advised Fund is held by the Asian Pacific Community Fund where the donor, or a committee appointed by the donor, may recommend eligible charitable recipients for grants from the fund. Furthermore, based on donor preferences, APCF may run a full grant process to solicit agencies for programs in need of funding and that meet the donor giving priority(s).

The advantage of creating a Donor Advised Fund through the Asian Pacific Community Fund is that our staff can help to educate and guide the funding decisions of donors who may be unfamiliar with the broad and diverse range of nonprofit organizations in the Asian Pacific Islander community. APCF has a long history as a leader in the Asian Pacific Islander community, providing assurance that funds will be channeled to programs that best address the donor's priority giving areas.

In addition, donors may make a donation today to benefit from the tax deduction but distribute the funds at a later time. This may be an advantageous option for donors who may not know at this time how they want their funds distributed and/or because donors may want to accumulate additional funds for a larger distribution at a given time.
