Letter from the Executive Director ![]() This was a historic moment because for the first time, employees of the City of Alhambra were given the option to donate via a payroll deduction to the Asian Pacific Community Fund. Most people live very busy lives and do not have the opportunity to learn about community needs and the vast range of services offered to those in need by non-profit organizations. Workplace Giving Programs allow for the Asian Pacific Community Fund to provide education and outreach to employees at their place of work. Without the work of APCF, these Affiliate Agencies would not, on their own, be able to conduct workplace giving campaigns to raise funds. ![]() Not only does this provide employees with a convenient and easy way to donate to the community but it is also a chance for them to gain valuable information on the various programs and services that are provided by APCF Affiliate Agencies. While employees may not be in need of these services, they may have relatives, friends, or neighbors who would benefit greatly from these services. For a list of programs and services offered by APCF Affiliate Agencies, click here. Much thanks and appreciation go to Assemblymember Mike Eng and Alhambra City Councilman Gary Yamauchi for their continued support of APCF. We also want to thank TriStar Vending for hosting the ice cream social which included ice cream from the famous Fosselman's in Alhambra. If your company has a workplace giving program in place, please consider a donation to the Asian Pacific Community Fund. Your gift will go towards the work of our 29 Affiliate Agencies serving over 200,000 people each year. If your company does NOT have a workplace giving program in place, please consider starting one. It's really a very simple process, give me a call at (213) 624-6400 ext. 2 and I would be glad to walk you through the steps. As government and corporate funding to our agencies diminish and the needs of the community grow, your contribution is more important than ever to help sustain our agencies, programs, services, and community. "Invest in People" - Give Today! Sincerely, Debra Fong |
